If you want to head back late in the evening (e.g. after a Christmas market or spa), this must be clarified in advance because of driving and rest times – otherwise the return becomes a problem. The earlier it's agreed, the better.
Check parking at the destination
Not every destination has bus parking right by the entrance. Ask in advance where the bus stops and parks – theme parks and spas usually have designated bus bays, sometimes for a fee.
Have a weather plan B
