What is a nightliner?
A nightliner – also called a sleeper coach or tour bus – is a specially fitted coach with permanent sleeper cabins. Instead of seat rows, there are 12 to 16 sleeping berths, a lounge area, galley, separate crew toilet and often a shower. While the crew sleeps, the nightliner drives overnight to the next show – saving hotel costs and maximising productive day time. Originally developed for rock and touring bands, nightliners are now also used for sports teams on long away trips, TV production crews and major event personnel.
