What is a coach?
A coach – sometimes called a charter bus or touring coach – is the workhorse of the charter market. With 18 to 53 seats, A/C, on-board toilet, galley, USB ports, sometimes Wi-Fi and reclining seats, it's built for any trip longer than a city transfer. Typical models come from Setra (ComfortClass and TopClass), Mercedes (Tourismo and Travego), MAN (Lion's Coach), Volvo, Iveco or Neoplan. Coaches meet current emission standards (Euro 6e) and are designed for multi-day comfort – from a day trip to a 14-day Italy tour.

Daily rates (8-9 h, around 250-400 km) depending on size and season start at approx. €600-1,200. On Busly you see an instant direct price and can book directly – or compare individual offers for multi-day rentals with driver overnight.
Standard coaches have 48 to 53 seats, smaller mid-coaches 18 to 35. Extended large models such as the Setra S 519 HD, Mercedes Tourismo L or MAN Lion's Coach L seat up to 63–71 people according to the manufacturers, but in practice usually carry 55 to 63 seats – and far from every bus company has them. State the exact number of people in your request and partners with a suitable vehicle will respond. Otherwise, from about 55 people it is a double-decker (60–80 seats) or a second coach.
On large coaches (45+ seats) yes, in most cases. On smaller mid-coaches (18-30 seats) not always. Please flag in your request if both are required – Busly will then filter providers accordingly.
For school trips during peak season (April-June, September) we recommend 4-8 months lead time. Club outings and weekend tours 4-8 weeks. Short-notice requests (1-2 weeks) are possible subject to availability, but more expensive.
